About Robert

Robert Sherman is a National Correspondent for NewsNation.

Robert Sherman is a National Correspondent for NewsNation whose reporting has taken him across the globe.

Robert has been on the forefront of some of the world's biggest stories. He spent over a month in Ukraine and Poland covering the Russian invasion in 2022, and spearheaded NewsNation's coverage of the 2023 war in Israel reporting every day from the Middle East. As one of the first reporters on the ground in each war zone, Robert was able to give viewers an up-close look at the crises and introduce viewers to the people impacted the most.

A typical week for him involves criss-crossing the country from Iowa to New Hampshire, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and everywhere in-between.

Robert was also one of the first reporters on the ground for the school shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, and provided extensive coverage on the University of Idaho killings, Hurricanes Ian and Idalia, and catastrophic flooding in Kentucky.

Prior to joining the NewsNation team, Robert worked for Fox News Channel as a Multimedia Reporter based in Orlando, Florida. There, he spent two years traveling around the country covering the nation's biggest stories including six hurricanes, the Derek Chauvin trial, the Georgia Senate Runoffs in 2020, the 2021 Virginia Gubernatorial Election, wildfires in California, the US-Mexico border crisis and more.

In addition to television, Robert is a frequent contributor to radio programs across the country including several nationally syndicated shows. You'll also find him as a guest on several podcasts as he shares his experiences with listeners.
